What We Do
At ETS, we aim to elevate individuals on the autism spectrum, their family members, educators, professionals, and community members through education, support, and advocacy both in person and virtually across New Mexico. Our members can be found on-line or at one of our many inclusive, educational, and fun events!
You can also find us on school boards, education task forces, state disability councils and championing for developmental disability advancements at the capital.
How We Started
Elevate The Spectrum is a grassroots non-profit organization dedicated to supporting New Mexico’s autism community. The organization was started by a group of parents of children on the autism spectrum who came together to form the support and resource system they felt was lacking. They organized a monthly meet-up and resource fair to share information and connect, adding new members along the way.
In 2019 Elevate The Spectrum became an official non-profit and grew to include members from around the state with years of experience, points of view, and areas of expertise. Understanding the importance of different perspectives, ETS’s board now includes self-advocates, parents, siblings, and professionals to ensure all areas of autism are supported.
